Community Beehive Partnership

A Community Partnership is a great opportunity to experience your own beehive.

You’ll own a ten percent share of the beehive, which is 2kg or 4.4lbs of Active Manuka Honey. That’s 4 jars of 500gm (or 17.6oz).

The partnership will last till June 2010; this will take you through the complete cycle of gathering honey.

Your beehive will sustain two hectares (or five acres) of natural forest. (So you’ll have personally preserved half an acre.)

We’ll post you a certificate of ownership after you sign up.

Here’s what you get with your exclusive beekeeping experience…

An Individual Webpage For Your Beehive

We’ll build a private webpage just for your beehive, including the story, maps, and photos of your beehive. You can show your friends, family and colleagues the unique story of your New Zealand beehive. We plan to update it about 10 – 12 times through the season as things happen.

DVD Of Your Beehive

There’s lots of excitement in producing your honey that can only be captured on video (especially the intrepid journey we take your beehive on). We’ll produce a short DVD telling the story and featuring clips of your actual beehive.

What If The Beehive Produces More Or Less Honey?

We’re confident we’ll gather at least 20 kg of honey from your beehive, so with a ten percent share that’s 2 kg for you. If we have a disaster and get less, we’ll top up your share from a neighbouring beehive that’s been in the same locations (we think this is very unlikely to happen).

Your beehive may produce more, however as a very small company we can’t commit to sending you more than 2 kg for the fixed price. If you’re interested in getting every bit of honey, have a look at the options with the Premium Partnership.
